GU to conduct Online Exam in Open Book System

Gauhati University on 7th May, 2021 declared that the GU will conduct all the pending examinations in Open Book System (OBS) in the online mode only.

The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by GU vice chancellor Prof Pratap Jyoti Handique.

Update about PG Exams

The postgraduate examinations will be held from June 1 to 15. The undergraduate examinations will start from 2nd week of June.

What is Open Book System (OBS)

Open-book exams allow you to take notes, texts or resource materials into an exam situation. They test your ability to find and apply information and knowledge, so are often used in subjects requiring direct reference to written materials, like law statutes, statistics or acts of parliament.
